Mill Creek
Mill Creek is a city in Snohomish County located 20 miles northeast of Seattle. The city is one of the wealthiest suburbs in the Seattle metropolitan area and was originally centered around a country club and golf course, with other development occurring nearby in later phases. It was incorporated as a city in 1983, shortly after the completion of the first phase of development, and underwent major population growth due to continued suburban development and annexation of nearby areas. The city’s downtown area is centered around the Mill Creek Town Center, a mixed-use lifestyle center and retail complex that opened in 2004.

North Creek Trail is a great place to hike and enjoy the surroundings of beautiful Mill Creek while you get your workout. The trail spans parallel to its namesake creek, starting from Main Street and ending near the pond along Mill Creek Boulevard. You can bring your pets or tag your friends along to take a run and enjoy the views. Bikers can also follow along the expanse of the trail. You can bring your baskets and mats and set up a picnic on the green patch grounds after your bike or run.
Cougar Park is an excellent area for locals looking for a nice patch of tranquil green space in the city. The park is a great place to spend the day and set up a nice picnic with family and friends. The park is traversed with paved walking trails spread throughout the grounds and you can bring your little ones out to play, as the park also features a few play areas for kids. Dogs are welcome to the park is a great for getting some exercise.
Mill Creek Town Center is an outdoor mall located downtown with over 85 shops. Shopping options range from apparel, footwear, house items, and more. The mall offers multiple dining options, from big American chains to local Washington establishments. You can also go to the mall to work up a sweat at the different gyms and boutique centers. The mall hosts occasional events like kids’ activities, art walks, bake sales, and concerts.
Arena Sports is the place to go if you want to find a place to spend the day playing games and enjoying recreational activities. The sports center offers multiple sports such as bowling, mini-golf, laser tag and a climbing wall. Kids can bounce on the indoor inflatable playground or play a few rounds in the arcade. The sports center also has different summer programs and classes for kids of all ages.
